Mediapersons took a much-needed break from their hectic profession today and enjoyed themselves playing tennisball cricket.
Suryaprabha, Anupam Bharat, Business Standard and Radio Choklate posted wins in the first four matches of the 3rd Airtel Media Cup 6-a-side tournament, which opened at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on Friday.
In the 5-overs-a-side matches, Suryaprabha beat Samaya by five wickets, Anupam Bharat thrashed Doordarshan by identical margin, Business Standard got the better of New Indian Express by 14 runs and Radio Choklate defeated Pragativadi by three wickets.
The three-day tournament, featuring 20 media houses, started with a thrilling exhibition match, which ended in Combined Media XI edging out Airtel XI by three runs.
